It’s officially the silly season – time to celebrate! And what better way to do so than by packing up and scooting off for a luxury summer getaway in beautiful Orange. Celebrate Orange 360! Spiegeltent events

The Celebrate Orange360 Festival is set to celebrate the ‘re-opening’ of our region with an incredible, three-day program of events! From the 9th-12th December, the Spiegeltent in Robertson Park (just a 15-minute drive from our luxury Orange accommodation) will host a series of entertaining ticketed shows, from ‘Kiss Bang Kabaret’ to ‘The Pitts Family Circus’ to the sword-swallowing ‘Space Cowboy’! There is no shortage of entertainment at the Spiegeltent – just be sure to book your tickets now because some events are selling out fast!

Artisan and Christmas Markets

Saturday 12th December is unofficial ‘markets‘ day in Orange! Snag yourself a $5 ticket to the Sparkling Brunch and Artisan Market at Robertson Park, where you can check out local produce and gifts galore just in time for Christmas. Or head on down to the Rotary Club of Orange Christmas Market at the Orange Showgrounds instead! From 9am until 2pm there will be around 90 stalls selling plants, toys, food, produce, jewellery, crafts and much, much more! If you’re yet to finish your Christmas shopping, our Orange markets are definitely the place to go.
 

Cherry-picking at an Orange orchard

Is there a more idyllic way to spend a summer’s day than picking your own fresh cherries? We think not! The Orange region is bursting with beautiful, thriving orchards and many are preparing to open their gates in mid-December to allow you to pick your own juicy cherries - just in time for Christmas! And the best part is that many of these orchards are right on our doorstep! Martelli Orchards is just a five-minute drive from our luxury Orange accommodation - and there are a handful of others offering ‘pick your own’ experiences that are less than fifteen minutes away.

Dance the night away

“Good Times in the Vines”… Need we say more? If you’re all about live music and a festive atmosphere, check out Friday Night Lights (FNL) at Heifer Station Wines. Running on selected Friday nights throughout the festive season, your $40 ticket includes a mystery pop-up meal. Or if you’re free on Saturday 17th December, book yourself a ticket for ‘Sunset Sessions’ at Stockman’s Ridge. From 5pm until 9pm, groove the night away with Chris from OrangeDJs. Both these venues are 15-20 minutes drive from Lakeview Luxury Retreat… Did we mention we’re in a great spot?!
 

Christmas lunch at Whitney’s

Don’t fancy cooking on Christmas Day? Orange is serving up the goods with a fantastic Christmas lunch package at Whitney’s Restaurant and Bar. For $180 per adult (and $80 per child), you’ll receive a delicious  three-course feast, complete with a festive welcome drink on arrival. It’s the good stuff too! Think herb-crusted eye fillet, 12-hour pressed pork belly, black forest gateaux… And not a buffet in sight! Bookings are essential for this one – so get in quick!
